How to upload files from your Cell Phone to your NewPoint computer
Occasionally, you may need to upload a work file (ie site survey photo) from your smart phone to your NewPoint computer so that you can upload to the G: drive. Instead of connecting your phone to your laptop via the USB cable, please follow the procedure below.
Note for iPhone users:
Please make this adjustment on your phone before taking site photos. This adjustment will force the phone to default to .JPG images for compatibility.
On your iOS device, open Settings, then tap Camera > Format.
Under Camera Capture, tap Most Compatible.

1. Once you have the files you want to transfer on your phone, open the App Store/Google Play Store, then search Microsoft OneDrive
2. Get the App, then open it.
3. When prompted, enter your NewPoint e-mail address and password. Approve the Authenticator app prompt.
4. Tap OK to approve IT security prompts. You may need to re-open the OneDrive app on your phone.
5. Once you are in the OneDrive app, you should see your recent files at the top. Tap
at the top of the screen.
6. Tap Create a Folder if you'd like to place your uploads in a new folder. Then, tap Upload
7. Tap Photos and Videos, or Browse if it's a document
8. Select the files, then tap Upload
9. After upload is complete, the files will show in your OneDrive folder on your laptop (Click the File Explorer, then Documents - OR click the Start button, then click OneDrive)
10. From there, copy the files from your OneDrive folder to the appropriate folder on the G: drive.
