NewPoint Asset Guardian Portal - External User Guide
The NewPoint Healthcare Reporting Portal has been updated and renamed to the NewPoint Asset Guardian Portal.
New Users
Registration
-
First Time Portal Access:
- Navigate to the NewPoint Asset Guardian Application:
https://assetguardianportal.newpoint.com
- You will land on NewPoint’s authentication portal (shown below):

- You may either sign-up/register using the email address provided to NewPoint by selecting ‘Sign-up Now” (see below).

OR you may use an existing Work or School Office 365, Microsoft Personal, or Google account (see below).
Register Using Email Address
- To register using the email address you provided to your NewPoint contact, Select ‘Sign-up now’.

- You will be prompted to verify your email address prior to entering any registration data.

- Enter your email address & Select ‘Send verification code’.
- You will receive an email from the portal to the address entered containing a unique code (see below).

Navigate back to the portal, enter the code, & Select ‘Verify Code’.
- Note: This code will expire in 10 minutes. Once expired, you will have to select ‘Send new code’.

- You will see a confirmation that your email address has been verified & you will be prompted to continue with your registration.

- Complete the fields on the registration form.

- Select ‘Create’.
- You will be directed to your profile page where you may update your contact details & preferences.
- Once completed. Select ‘Update’.

- You will be directed to your ‘My Loans’ page where the NewPoint loans to which you are associated will appear.

Forgot Password
Email Registration

If you registered for access using the ‘Sign-up Now’ form, then you may utilize the ‘Forgot your password’ module in the application.
- Select ‘Forgot your password’.

- You will be prompted to verify your email address by requesting a verification code.

- Once verified, you may continue.
- You will be prompted to enter & confirm your new password.

- You will be re-directed to the main login page where you will be able to login using your new password.

Work or Personal Account Registration

If you registered for access using ANY of the ‘work or personal account’ options, then you will need to reset your password within the ‘work or personal account’ prior to returning to Asset Guardian to login.
- Example: If you registered for Asset Guardian using your Google account & require a password update, then you will have to complete the password update on your Google account prior to returning to Asset Guardian to login using your new password.

Register Using Office 365, Microsoft, or Google Account
- Select the desired account type & follow the prompts to create your profile.
- Once complete, you will be able to use the entered email address & password specific to the registered profile for future access.

Confirm/Update Profile

Upon creation, you will be directed to finalize the creation of your profile by entering your email address & then you will be re-directed to your profile details.
- You may also update your profile information at any time once logged in by selecting your name at the top right of the application screen & selecting ‘Profile’.

Confirm your profile details & add any additional details as desired.
- Additional details are not required for accessing the application.

- Once you are satisfied with your profile, Select ‘Update’.

You will be re-directed to the portal dashboard & you are now able to access the portal as well as the loans to which you have been associated.
- The default view on the dashboard page is set to ‘My Loans’. This is a link in the page banner which allows you to navigate back to the dashboard page at any time.

Your loans will appear in the window on the dashboard page.
- If there is a loan missing from this window to which you believe you should have access, then, please, contact your NewPoint Asset Manager.
- Now you may continue navigating through the application to fulfill any required submissions.

Returning Users
Accessing a Loan, Property, & Open Activities
- To access your loan, property, & open items; navigate to the ‘Active Loans’ window of the dashboard.

Find the desired loan & Select its name which appears as a hyperlink directing you to the ‘Loan Details’.
- If you are associated with multiple loans, then each of them will appear in this list as a separate line.

- The ‘Loan Details’ page displays the Loan ID & Name as well as a list of all properties associated to the selected loan.

Select the desired Property to view any open items due.
- If there are multiple properties associated with the loan, then each of them will appear in this list as a separate line.
- You will be directed to the ‘Property Activities’ page where you will find the activities associated with the selected Loan/Property.
- Select the hyperlink of the activity item with the status of ‘OPEN’.

Fulfilling Open Activities | HUD
- Once you navigate to the Open activity, you will be directed to the submission detail page.
- Here you will complete the Project form for the open item.

- Complete the Occupancy Reporting form for the reporting period.
- Complete the Operating Expenses form for the reporting period.

- Complete the Respondent Information form with your contact information as well as any applicable comments that you would like to associate with the submission.
- Certify the submission, select your submission files, & select Submit.

- Once submitted, a message confirming that the ‘Submission completed successfully’ will appear & the status of the item will update to ‘SUBMITTED’.

- For your records, an email containing the submission data as well as any submitted attachments will be sent to the ‘Respondent Email’.

- The NewPoint Team will be notified of the submission.

The item is fulfilled & the submission is now complete.
- Note: The NewPoint Team will reach out with any questions or concerns related to your submission.
Fulfilling Open Activities | Non-HUD

Select the checkbox(s)* next to the item(s)* to be fulfilled & upload corresponding docs.
- *More than one item may be fulfilled & all items selected must be supported by the documents submitted.

- Once submitted, a message confirming that the ‘Submission completed successfully’ will appear & the status of the item will update to ‘SUBMITTED’.
- The NewPoint Team will be notified of the submission.

The item is fulfilled & the submission is now complete.
